Waitlist Application Terms & Conditions Submission of this application includes payment of a $2,000 non-refundable waitlist processing fee plus a 4% credit card convenience fee.This fee is administrative in nature and is not applied toward initiation fees, membership dues, or any other Club charges, regardless of whether membership is ultimately offered or accepted. In order to maintain an active position on the waitlist, applicants will be required to pay an annual waitlist renewal fee of $500, billed each year that the applicant elects to remain on the waitlist. Failure to pay the renewal fee in a timely manner may result in removal from the waitlist. When an applicant’s name reaches the top of the waitlist and the applicant elects to delay membership for one additional year, a $2,500 waitlist delay deposit will be required. This deposit is administrative in nature and is non-refundable and not applied toward initiation fees, annual dues, or other Club charges. Applicants should note that initiation fees, annual dues, and all Club charges are subject to change. Waitlist applicants are subject to the membership fees in place at the time their application is approved by the Club’s Membership Committee. All waitlist-related fees, including the processing fee, annual renewal fee, and delay deposit, are non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal of an application, failure to accept membership when offered, or removal from the waitlist. Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee an offer of membership. The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club reserves the sole and absolute discretion to approve, defer, or decline any application for membership. Sponsorship When an applicant reaches the top of the waitlist, the following will be required to complete the membership application process: • Three (3) letters of recommendation from current Club members • Completion of the full membership application • Review and approval by the Membership Committee • Background Check • Interview and approval by the Director of Membership Important Notes • Membership opportunities are limited each year. • Applicants who decline membership when offered may be required to return to the bottom of the waitlist. • Applicants are responsible for keeping their contact information current with the Membership Office.
